STORM WATCH: 3-6 inches possible in overnight snowstorm - News 12 Bronx

The storm moving our way overnight will start to dump snow after midnight and continue into Friday morning, ending around 10 a.m. There is a winter storm warning in effect until 12 p.m. Friday.

The heaviest and steadiest of the snow will fall between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. The forecast calls for 3-6 inches of accumulation.

Friday skies will turn mostly sunny in the afternoon with a gusty northwest wind developing.

Saturday will be sunny and cold with highs in the low-30s. Another system approaches Sunday and a light wintry mix will develop as we go into the afternoon. Some bitterly cold air arrives early to midweek.

OVERNIGHT: Cloudy with snow starting after midnight. Low of 27.

FRIDAY: Snow ends during the morning, becoming partly sunny and windy in the afternoon. High of 35.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and cold. High of 32.

SUNDAY: Becoming cloudy with a light wintry mix developing into the afternoon. High of 39.

MONDAY: Clouds and sun, windy and turning colder. Early high of 32.

TUESDAY: Sunny and bitterly cold. High of 20.
