The suspect who is accused of killing two California cops all the way through a shootout on Tuesday evening died through suicide after allegedly taking pictures the pair of police officers.

Justin William Flores, 35, allegedly killed two El Monte, California police officers while they responded to reports of a stabbing at a hotel.

When the officers, Cpl. Michael Paredes and Officer Joseph Santana, approached the suspect, a shootout took location and both officers were shot. They were later pronounced lifeless at a la enviornment health facility.

The los angeles County medical Examiner-Coroner's workplace decided that Flores died through suicide on account of a gunshot wound to the head, according to its web site.

Flores had a previous strike conviction and also acquired two years of probation for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentence is aligned with the guidelines of l. a. District lawyer George Gascon, who has been taken to courtroom over his coping with of three-strike situations.

Flores turned into a gang member who was on probation on the time of the capturing for a weapons cost after he received a lenient sentence via a plea deal.

The Gascon coverage allowed Flores to plead no contest and get a light sentence, regardless of a strike being on his criminal list.

Sources inside the district legal professional's office instructed Fox news that Flores would have probably been handed a sentence of up to 3 years in reformatory if he became prosecuted in February 2021.

Gascon's office told Fox information that Flores did not have a "documented historical past of violence" when he became sentenced.

"The sentence he bought within the firearm case become in step with case resolutions for this classification of offense given his criminal history and the character of the offense," the commentary says. "on the time the court sentenced him, Mr. Flores did not have a documented background of violence."
