Biden congratulates Lula on victory over Trump-backed Bolsonaro in Brazil - The Hill

President Biden on Sunday congratulated Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for his victory in Brazil’s presidential election, beating incumbent Jair Bolsonaro, who become backed through former President Donald Trump.

Bolsonaro, like Trump, has sowed doubt about the integrity of his nation's election gadget. Biden known as Brazil's election "free, reasonable, and credible" in his statement Sunday.

Lula promised tax hikes on the prosperous and elevated government capabilities for the poor throughout the campaign, but has provided few specifics.
